Thanks for making our small town event a tremendous success! During June 1-3, 2007, our Mountain Sunrise Arts Festival featured activities for the entire
family, regional food, unique gift, arts and craft items, plus musical performances.
The Festival's name arose from the fact that Johnson County is the
easternmost county in Tennessee where the sun
rises first in the state.
Quilt Show was held at the Methodist Church (N. Church St. at College) hosted by the Mountain City Quilt Guild.
Art & Craft Booths lined Main Street and featured craft items in all pocketbook ranges. Come see jewelers, potters, woodworkers, artists and others displaying their creations.
A wide variety of Children Activites were scheduled, including a Lion's Club Turtle Derby in Ralph Stout Park on Hwy. 421 North.
Last year we featured a rollicking comedy Dearly Beloved in the Heritage Hall Theatre. Dearly Beloved is a story of a completely dysfunctional, but loveable Texas family in the throes of another series of life-changing events.
Plus we had a rockin' Benny Wilson Band (shown below) concert at Ralph Stout Park on Hwy. 421 North.
Thank you for participating!
